Taste of Lake Murray
Brings in monies to
support the July 4th fireworks
The
third annual Taste of Lake Murray fundraising event, held March 22, 2007, was a huge success, raising
$80,600 for the July 4th celebration on Lake Murray. The July 4th Celebration will take
place, Saturday, June 30, 2007, from three lake locations: Dreher Island,
Spence Island and the Lake Murray Dam.
“This
year’s fundraising goal was $100,000 and because of the remarkable support at
the Taste of Lake Murray, we are not far from our goal,” says, Miriam Atria,
President/CEO, Capital City/Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism.
Donations
are encouraged and are still needed to make this year’s fireworks show
